What it is¶
MVTrack4Gen trains camera-conditioned diffusion models through multi-view point tracking for novel-view video generation. It targets ReCamMaster and ReDirector without 3D reconstruction at inference.
- Auxiliary tracking head: extracts attention features and applies correspondence loss.
- Inputs: takes source video, query points, and a target camera trajectory.
Code and pretrained models are not released yet.
Development line¶
- 2026-06-26 — MVTrack4Gen project page linked. The framework provides multi-view point tracking for novel-view generation rather than text generation or standalone tracking. We train it on two backbones, ReCamMaster and ReDirector, and evaluate on DAVIS and iPhone.
What changed¶
2026-06-26 — The project page went live. MVTrack4Gen is a framework for multi-view point tracking in novel-view generation, not a text generator or standalone tracker. It trains on top of two backbones, ReCamMaster and ReDirector, and evaluates on DAVIS and iPhone.
2026-06-24 — The arXiv v1 paper 2606.26087 released the method as a preprint.
2026-06-26 — The official GitHub repository holds only a README with "Code Coming Soon". Weights, installation instructions, and release artifacts are not available.
How to use this¶
From 2026-06-26, use the MVTrack4Gen project page as the starting reference for this project; available documentation does not justify a more specific technical workflow change.
- Match the task to the inputs: monocular reference video, query points, and target camera trajectory, because the method generates novel views rather than tracking generic video. — https://cvlab-kaist.github.io/MVTrack4Gen/
- Read the paper to reproduce the training framework on a supported camera-conditioned backbone, as there is no official launch script yet. — https://arxiv.org/abs/2606.26087
- Monitor the official repository for code and pretrained models, and avoid production integration until they arrive. — https://github.com/cvlab-kaist/MVTrack4Gen
Best practices¶
- Apply MVTrack4Gen only when the target camera trajectory is known and cross-view temporal consistency is required, as it does not replace a general video tracker. — https://cvlab-kaist.github.io/MVTrack4Gen/
- Test geometric consistency and camera accuracy on your dynamic scenes, because paper findings cover only DAVIS and iPhone. — https://cvlab-kaist.github.io/MVTrack4Gen/
- Do not pin dependencies or weights before the official release, because the repository lacks code and pretrained models. — https://github.com/cvlab-kaist/MVTrack4Gen
Superseded by this¶
- 2026-06-26 — Immediate source code availability is superseded: as of 2026-09-05, the repository still marks code and pretrained models as forthcoming.
Still unknown¶
- Official code, pretrained models, license, hardware requirements, and a reproducible inference workflow are not yet published.
- The arXiv preprint is dated 2026-06-24, but no primary source confirms the exact launch time of the project page or GitHub repository.
- Event findings and new events schema entries are not separate; their verified details are merged into what changed.
